Description
Van Diemans Moonlit Lake from the Night series is a medium teal ink with medium shading, high pink sheen and teal shimmer. It dries in 50 seconds in a medium nib on Rhodia and has an average flow. Van Diemans ink is made in Australia.
Moonlit Lake resembles the sparkling water on a lake at night with hints of reflection of rays of moonlight dappling upon it. This is a dark green-blue fountain pen ink, highly saturated, creating a dark red sheen, and pigmented with a rare and unique shimmer that creates a sparkling effect which compliments rather than overshadows the primary color and sheen.
Moonlit Lake performs very well in all nib sizes, but shows off the base blue-green colour most effectively in finer nibs, while in broader nibs it will appear much darker, almost black, with a heavier red sheen and more noticeable shimmer. Moonlit Lake also performs well on most papers, with limited feathering or bleeding, but shows off the best combination of sheen, shimmer and colour on Bloc Rhodia in a fine nib pen.
Makecertain to shake the bottle well to maximize the shimmer content in your pen fill, or leave it unshaken if you want to avoid the shimmer and focus on the colour and sheen.
