The series name 1791 comes from a famous book written in 1791 in China, called “The Dreams of the Red Chamber”. TWSBI picked names for each of these inks in Chinese from this book. In English, the names just describe the color of the ink, however, in Chinese, it comes from 6 famous buildings described in this book.
