De Atramentis Louise Aston is a deep purple ink with low shading and low gold sheen. It dries in 20 seconds in a medium nib on Rhodia and has a wet flow. De Atramentis ink is made in Germany.
Luise Aston, or Louise Aston, was a German author and feminist, who championed the rights of women, and was known for dressing in male attire. She was an advocate of democracy and free love and sexuality.
This ink is made by hand in small batches, therefore there could be some color variation between bottles of ink.
