Description

Colorverse A Cma from the Project collection is a pale steel blue ink with low shading. It dries in 40 seconds in a medium nib on Rhodia and has a dry flow. Colorverse ink is made in Korea.

Alpha Canis Majoris ( CMa), part of the Canis Major constellation, is more commonly known as Sirius and is the brightest star in the night sky. Sirius is actually a binary star (2 stars that orbit each other) but to the naked eye, it appears as one very bright star. Since it is so bright, Sirius is recorded in some of the earliest astronomical records of ancient Egypt and Greece.

Canis Major is located in the southern celestial hemisphere. In the second century,Roman astronomer Ptolemy included it in his 48 constellations, and it is counted among the 88 modern constellations today. Its name is Latin for “greater dog” and it is commonly represented as following the hunter Orion, along with Canis Minor, the “lesser (smaller) dog.”InChinese astronomy, the stars of the great dog were part of the Vermillion Bird.

It is most easily visible during the month of February.
